What are the functions of a Quality Assurance department?  Quality assurance involve establishing and managing the company’s quality organization, designing operating procedures, discussing the quality direction with top management, introducing them to the fundamentals of quality, and making certain there is consistency in management pronouncements.

Irrespective of the specific nature of the food-processing unit, food processors are responsible for the quality and safety of the food they produce. The systems are developed to ensure the achievement of plans, standards and specifications.
